DAVIS CUP CONTEST BRITAIN ELIMITATES ITALY. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) T LONDON, June 9. In the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup contest, played at Eastbourne, F. J. Perry and G. IP. Hughes (Britain) defeated Radio and Carolli (Italy) 6-1 6-4, 9-7. Italy was thus eliminated, w ei din, d. Satoh (Japan) defeated Dr. Gramm (Germany), 6-3, 2-6 6-3-Nunoi (Japan) defeated Jaenicke’(Germany), 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
