LARGE AREA TO BE DEVELOPED
WELLINGTON, June 7
In reference to the gift of 100 U . cn-s by Air E. Earle Vaile, of Rotorua, the Minister for Lands (the Hon. E. A. Ransom) said to-day that the development of the area would be pushed ahead immediately under the supervision of Air J. 1 S. Jessep (deputychairman of the Unemployment Board). Those engaged in the work of improvement will be given the opportunity of taking up sections. The Minister said they bad between 4000 and 5000 acres of undeveloped land to take in hand immediately. He was directing the Small Farms Board to take up with the Unemployment Board the work of rehabilitating Crown securities which had fallen hack nU o the hands of the State lending department.
