RECONSTRUCTION.
nation-wide scheme. SUPPORTED IN WELLINGTON. (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, April G. Chamber of Commerce to-night, Mr J. D. McMillan, of Auckland, advanced proposals for a scheme of national financial reconstruction. The principal objects of the scheme is to promote industrial enterprise by a system of State guarantees for a period of three years. A resolution, was passed declaring that the meeting considered that the present conditions called for immediate united action on the part of business men in the formation and sponsoring of a plan to attack unemployment and rebuild prosperity, and endorsing the proposal to form a National Reconstruction Association, as suggested by Auckland business men.
