LABOUR CANDIDATE.
THE OROUA CONSTITUENCY. (Special to the "Guardian:") FEILDING, April 3. The Oroua branch of the Labour Party has selected Mr W. C. Oliver, of Makino, • as its representative at the next general election. The Labour Party did not nominate a candidate at the last election, and the Hon. J. G. Cobbe was returned unopposed. Mr Oliver, who is a (returned soldier, was born in England. He has been in touch with the Labour movement in England and New Zealand for the past 25 years, and at present is president, of the Feilding branch of the Labour Party and chairman of the Oroua Labour Representation Com- : mittee.
