MARCH QUARTER FIGURES. INCREASE IN CASES TRIED. An increase in the number of both civil and criminal cases tried is shown in ,the Ashburton Magistrate's Court returns for the quarter ended March 31, 1933, compared with the figures for the corresponding quarter in 1932. There was, however, a, large decrease in the amount sued for compared with the same period last year, the difference being £BSO _9s 9d. During the quarter, 38 miners' rights were issued by the Mining Registrar at Ashburton, compared with 43 last year.
