COMMONWEALTH AND DOMINION NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUE. (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 5. The representatives of tlie New Zealand and Australian Governments negotiating for a new trade treaty, are holding long sittings, and the indications to-night are that the discussions cannot bo finished before the end of this week, which means that the Australian delegates will have to delay their return until next week. Finality is expected to be be reached within a few days, but it is unlikely that an early announcement will be made concerning the contents of the new agreement that will have to be ratified by both Parliaments. And it is not usual for the terms of trade treaties to be made known beforehand although a brief outline of the result of the conference may be expected MANY POINTS SETTLED AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND WELLINGTON, This Day. The discussions between the Australian Trade Delegation and the New Zealand Government have resulted in agreement on a number of points, the documents concerning which are being placed before a joint meeting of delegates this afternoon. On the outcome of the delibefations to-day will depend the date of the Australian delegates' departure homeward. Senator Massy Greene and Mr J. G. Coates conferred this morning.
