FOR CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS. BILL APPROVED BY SENATE. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 11.15, a.m.) OTTAWA, April 5. After a long, contentious course in the Senate, the Bill to legalise sweepstakes received its third reading by 31 votes to 24 to-day, and will go to the Dominion Hoiise of Commons. The Bill provides that the AttorneyGeneral in any province may authorise a sweepstake, the profits to go to charitable institutions. Charitable institutions are limited to hospitals. Only one sweepstake may be held in any one province in .a single year.
