ATHLETICS.

METHVEN DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL. THE ANNUAL SPORTS. Tlio annual sports of the Methven District High School were held in the school grounds yesterday afternoon. The weather was ideal, a light northwest wind putting the grounds in good order after the recent rain. There was a largo attendance of parents and others, who were treated to a splendid afternoon’s sport. The fields on the whole were good, with the exception of the boys’ senior championship events. Mr A. S. Kennedy and his staff wepe ably assisted by members of the School Committee, and all events were got off to schedule.

The ex-pupils’ race resulted: Dudley Cleovo 1, D. Allan 2, G. Cleeve 3.
