MOSGIEL WOOLLEN COMPANY DECLARATION OF DIVIDEND (Per Press Association). DUNEDIN, This Day. The directors of the Mosgiel Woollen Company recommend payment of a final dividend of 4 per cent., and a bonus of 2 per cent., making 10 per cent, for the year. Quotations are:— - Danish, 116 s to 118 s; New Zealand Choicest Salted (very scarce), 106 s; First-Grade, 975; Australian Choicest, 96s to 975; Unsalted New Zealand, 106 s to 110 s; Australian, 97s to 100 s. Cheese is firm. New Zealand White 665; Coloured 60s.
WOOL MARKET IN BRITAIN (Received This Day, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, October 27. At the Bradford wool market there is a fair amount of business, tops makers adopting a firmer attitude. Quotations are: 70's 24d, 64'a 22-Jd, ,60's 2P 2 d, 56's 18d, 46V lOd, 40's 9d. At the sheep skin sales 7013 were offered, including lio9 New Zealand, and about 90 per cent, were sold. There was a large attendance and good Home and Continental competition. Compared with prices for September 8,- Australian Merinos were unchanged ; crossbreds fine were 5 per cent, dearer with medium and low unchanged; New Zealand half-breds were at par to o per cent, cheaper ; cross breds generally unchanged ; hoggets slightly dearer. PIGS AND POULTRY. THE ASHBURTON MARKET. At the weekly sales of pigs and poultry held in Ashburton to-day the following prices were realised: — Pigs—Baconers, £2 7s to £2 15s; porkers, £1 4s; stores, £1 3s to £l os: weaners, 8s 6d to 14s; slips, to 17s. Poultry—Hens, 2s 5d to 4s lid; ducks, 3s 4d to 4s 2d. HORSE FAIR. At the horse fair held by the National Mortgage and Agency Company this afternoon, the following prices were realised: — < Gelding .(4yrs) £33, gelding (4yrs) £3l, gelding (oyrs) £l2, black gelding (4yrs) £3o,„geldin S (9yrs) £2O, pony (oyrs) £5 10s, black mare (7yrs) £6, ponv (9vrs) £2 15s, half-draught mare (Byrs)£B, mare (aged) £9 10s. PROPERTY SALE. A property of half an acre, together with a hut, situated at Tinwald, offered by Henry Stephenson to-day under instructions' from the Public Trustee, was passed in at £SO.
