ITALIAN FASCISM
"A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT.
CONDITIONS DURING A DECADE.
REVIEW BY MUSSOLINI
(United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, October 27.
Signor Mussolini, in an article m the "Daily Telegraph" on "The Years of Fascism," said: "The regime is not satisfied with the mere making o? laws, hut feels that it has a deeper responsibility.
"Fascism," said Signor Mussolini, "has permeated the life of the people and has created an epoch in Italian history whose influence will be felt by succeeding generations. If however, 1 wished to make a moral budget it would be sufficient to point to the increase in wheat production by 75,151,000 quintals thus raising the yield from four to six quintals per acre. We can say that we have made Italy almost independent of foreign wheat and in addition we can enumerate vast public works and great reforms. We do not have strikes but have a producing and industrious working-class. There is not a single State in the whole world which can point to an equal achievement in all of the State's .activities. "Fascism is destined to live. It is a living spirit like the spirit of Cromwell."
