THE WEATHER.
BRIGHT SUNSHINE CONTINUES After a bright, clear day yesterday, the weather became threatening late last night, but fine weather prevailed in Ashburton again to-day. The. temperature was very mild, a warm wind blowing from the north-east. The barometric oressure at 9 a.m. today was 29.55 inches, compared with 29!60 inches recorded yesterday morning. The maximum and. minimum temperatures yesterday and last night, as recorded at the Domain Aveather station, were 62 degrees and 48 degrees.
TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was issued to-day.— Indications are for: North fco northwest winds prevailing and freshening, but after about 16 hours backing by west to south. Mild and .hazy conditions may be expected, and after about 16 hours the weather appears likely to be cloudv and unsettled with rain following. ' The barometer is falling slowly.
