TIMARU SHOW

ASHBURTON COUNTY SUCCESSES NUMEROUS AWARDS SECURED. Ashburton County exhibitors secured numerous awards at the annual show of the Timaru Agricultural and Pastoral Association yesterday. The majority of the prizes in the Ryeland, Corriedale, Shropshire and fat sheep sections went to competitors from this County, as well as a number in the registered Shorthorn and saddle horse classes. Judges from Ashburton County officiating were: Messrs D. G. Wright (Windermere) in strong and fine combing merino and halfbred sheep classes ; P. Shearer (Ashburton), in the draught horse class; Arthur Grigg (Mayfield) in the light harness horse and pony classes; E. McLennan (Ashburton), in the sheep-dog trials, and Colonel J. Findlay (Eiffelton) in the pony competition. Local successes were as follow:
