In the billiards match Walter Lindrum (Australia) has scored 14,468, including breaks of 385, 390, 558 and 536. Joe Davis (England) has scored 14,375, including a break of 448. Clark McConachy (New Zealand) defeated Tom Newman (England) 9893, after a thrilling finish. McConachy began the session 200 behind and! nearly overtook his.opponent with a break of 187. The latter led by 250 with, a break of 287. Newman gave himself an outside chance by scoring 160 in 80 minutes and then missed a simple red, losing hazard.
