DEFINITE UPWARD MOVEMENT (Special to the “Guardian.”) AUCKLAND, October 26. In opening the conference of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand to-day, the Mayor (Mr G. W- Hutchison) expressed the opinion that business conditions showed a slight upward trend. The improvement in the trading position was definite, the surplus of exports in the last eight months having been £13,000,000. He had reached the conclusion that there would soon be a definite shortage of houses. The land agency business would be among the first to recover from the depression.
