MEAT IN LONDON.
« AUSTRALIANS URGE LIMITATION. REMOVING GLUT IN LONDON. (United Press Association —Copyright) MELBOURNE, October 26. A deputation of New South Wales and Victorian graziers and meat exporters directed the attention of Mi Stewart (Federal Minister _ of Commerce) to the grave condition of the British meat market and the continuous glut of supplies. Fear was expressed that if South American shipments of mutton and lamb continued heavy to Decepiber 31, the present lamb export season would be disastrous. The deputation urged that representations should be made to the New Zealand Government, the British Government and the Argentine with a view to arranging an all-round limitation of shipments. Mr iStewart replied that the Ministry was alive to the danger and the whole position had been placed before the British Government through Mr S. M. Bruce (Resident Commonwealth Minister jn London).
