PERSONAL.
Mr G. J. Wallace, of Timaru, was a visitor to Ashburton to-day. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr F. H. Knight was carried in silence at the annual meeting of the Hampstead War Memorial Hall Society last evening. Appreciation of the long and valuable service given to the society by Mr Knight, who was formerly president, u T as placed on record.
