A NARROW ESCAPE.

FIRE DESTROYS HOMESTEAD. MAN RESCUED BY NEPHEW. (Per Press Association). BLENHEIM, This ©ay. One, Mr Con Horgan, was overcome by smoke and could not reach the ladder. His nephew, Mr Vincent Horgan, wrapped a. cloth about liis head, mounted a lauaer, and rescued his uncle only just in time. The house insured for £IOOO and the contents tor £3OO, both in the Commercial Union office.
