INCREASE !N MEMBERSHIP. (Special to the "Guardian.") AUCKLAND, June'2. In spite of a loss of £395 on the year's operations, the finances of the Auckland Aero Club are- considered to be satisfactory, according to the annual report. In the income and expenditure account of the flying section* a net loss of £199 is recorded, the principal items in receipts being £1265 from the hire of machines, £ll2B from instruction fees and £939 from passenger flights. The largest items in expenditure were £l6lO for salaries and wages and £1443 allowed for depreciation. There .were at present 659 members, an increase of 187 over last year. The membership was composed of 68 pilots, 96 pupils and 495 associate members. During the year 19 pupils obtained A licenses and two qualified for B licenses.
