TRANSPORT WORKERS 'IN TOKIO
TOKIO, January 14. Fail in" to secure support, the Transport Workers’ Union and the tram-car operatives accepted: a, compromise settlement, ending the strike, to the- relief of the citizens.
Six hundred tramway operatives declared a strike last Tuesday, demanding shorter hours and higher wages.
