ASSAULTS ON WOMEN.
LAWLESSNESS IN HAWAII. ALLEGATIONS OF LAXITY. (United Press Association —Copyright) WASHINGTON, January 13. The House Committee on Naval Affairs has Issued' a report stating that laxity on the part of the Hawaiian authorities has* 'convinced the lawless elements at Honolulu that assaults on women could be committed “without serious consequences” to the perpetrators. The Governor is charged with pardoning the perpetrator of an alleged assault on a woman in order to enable him- to go to New York to paificipate in a boxing match.
