TIMARU RACES. THE CONCLUDING EVENTS. (Special to "The Guardian.") TIMARU, This Day. The spring meeting of the South Canterbury Jockey Club was held on Saturday in hot weather. There was a large attendance and some excellent racing. Two horses fell in the Tycho Hack Handicap, L. Pratt, the rider of Congo, breaking a thigh. The totalisator investments were £9890 10s. Knox, rider of the winner, stated that he had the race won at the turn. T. Webster, rider of First Acre, said he had a good run on the rails all the way, but his mount was not good enough.
