MAN REMANDED.
ALLECED THEFT FROM FLAT.
(Per Press Association). AUCKLAND. June 12
Arrested last evening on a charge of breaking and entering the dwelling of Fay Cooper and stealing furniture bedding and clothing of a total value of £75, Charles Henry Frederick Pillow, aged 22, a motor mechanic, appeared iu the Public Court. Detective-Sergeant Kelly obtained a remand.
In asking i'or bail Pillow said ho did not break and enter the Hat. Anyway she owed me a debt oi .€10,” said accused. “As soon as I saw in the paper yesterday that it was reported as a burglary, I went straight and saw a solicitor about it.” Detective-Sergeant Kelly: He thinks one may go in oil' the street and take other people’s property. Bail in €IOO was allowed.
