In the House of Commons, the Secretary of States for Home Affairs (Mr J R* Clvnes) stated that the Government had given careful consideration to the suggestions that an mquira should be held into the lottery and sweepstake laws, but he was not satisfied on present information that the balance of opinion in Parliament or the country was in favour of a revision of tiie existing laws.
