Mr F. A. Silcoek (headmaster of tlie Fairton School) has been anointed headmaster of the Hoathcoto School, Christchurch.
Mr William Mach in (general manager of the New Zealand Farmers’ Cooperative Association, Limited) was a visitor to Ashburton to-day, en route to Timaru.
Resolutions of sympathy with Mr G. Lye, in tho death of his father, and with Mr F. B. Robilliard, in his illness were passed at the meeting ot the Ashburton Boxing Association.
