FIVE SHILLING TOTALISATOR. AN AUCKLAND PROPOSAL. AUCKLAND, This Day. A proposal to install a five-shilling totalisator and reduce the admission fee to the course to one shilling will be considered by the committee of the Auckland'Trotting Club. The proposal is sponsored by the president (Mr J. Rowe), and is expected 1 to receive strong support. Mr Rowe con-

siders that in the prevailing circumstances' the wartime tax, which caused admission charges to be increased by sixpence, should bo removed. THE OAKS. (Received This Day, 9.20 am.) LONDON, June 5.
