RE-TRIAL BEGUN.
CASE AGAINST DAVID BELL.
ALLEGED NEGLIGENT DRIVING. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Supreme Court to-day began the retrial of David Bell, a farmer, of Carew, on a charge of negligent driving, so as to cause the death of Vera Goodeve, near Geraldine, on April 4. At the first trial, at Timaru, the jury disagreed. Bell pleaded not guilty. Evidence was given as previously. The case is proceeding.
