D- Waghorn, the Schneider Trophy pilot, who injured his head yesterday, when lie escaped from an aeroplane in a paiachute, is dead. GALLANT FIGHT FOR LIFE. (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) (itece LONDON, May 7. Flight-Lieutenant Waghorn’s family was summoned to his bedside at midnight on Tuesday and watched unceasing to the end. Flight-Lieutenant Wagliorn fought gallantly and the doctors hoped he would pull through, but he became unconscious yesterday afternoon and failed to recovei.
