TEMPERANCE UNION.
DOMINION CONVENTION. (Per Press Association). NELSON, jMarcli 19. The Dominion convention the 'Women’s Christian Temperance Union was opened to-day. Welcoming the visitors. Mrs May Moffatt testified that their efforts for the betterment of conditions, especially lor women and children, were having success. The Dominion president (Mrs T. E. Taylor) said that the union acted as it thought best for tbo good of the people. She trusted that benefit would be derived from legislation promoted by the union-. Tf only the women of the Churches realised how they were hampered in their wirk for their children, the union would soon have a membership of 80,000.
