The Empire Marketing Board’s report emphasises the need for improvement in the grading of E'mpiro canned fruits, particularly in respect to the number and uniformity of the pieces contained in the tins. The report- suggests that’ Australian eanners .should endeavour to increase the quantity of choice grade, which at present is practically negligible, in order to enable retailers of high-class goods to offer Empire fruits capable of competing with the higher Californian grades.
