The India Committee of the Conservative Party met for the first time since Mr Baldwin's speech in the House of Commons on India. The official report stated: "The India Committee, after discussing matters of procedure, carried the following resolution, by a very,largo majority: 'That this Committee expresses satisfaction and agreement with the statement of policy on India by Mr Baldwin at Newton Abbot and confirmed last week in the House of Commons.'
