THE DARDANELLES.
SOVIET SHIPPING INCREASES. (United Press Association— Copyright). (Received This Day, 9.2-5 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, March 17.. The report of the Straits Commission, which is being submitted to the League of Nations, reveals that trie Soviet, when dumping, was responsible for' an increase'of 40 per cent, in the tonnage traversing the Dardanelles, in 1930, compared with 1929. Russian naval strength, in the Black Sea is 54 units, with 21 seaplanes. The report, deplores excessive sanitary dues collected from vessels contrary to the international regulations Passing through the straits without stopping. ____^__ — _____
