The Rev. G. T). Verco left to-day for Timaru on business connected with the New Zealand Alliance. The following members of the Ashburton Defence Rifle Club leave tonight for Trentham for the annual championship meeting of the National Rifle Association, which commences on Friday-.—President D. F. Keir, Riflemen 0. Cromie, F. Porter, F. R. Truman, C. Glassey and J. Yeandle.
