USE IN PUBLIC WORKS. (Special to "The Guardian") WELLINGTON, March 14. "Wo don't wish to encourage the use «if imported timber when the expenditure of public money is involved, and it is a standing instruction to the Public Works Department that Isew Zealand timber be used in every possible case," stated the Prime Minister, the Rt, Hon. G. W. Forbes in the House yesterday when replying to a question regarding the use of timber in. the process of earthquake rehabilitation. , ... ■ Mr Forbes added that he did not anticipate that any relief moneys would be used for rebuilding purposes.
