THREE MEN CONVICTED. (Special to "The Guardian.'') WELLINGTON, March 13. Three men went eeling in the South Karori Stream, but finding trout more plentiful-they turned their attention "to these. However, they also attracted tlie ranger, who found them, in possession of twenty-one trout, including a number under size. It was acknowledged that the poaching was not premediated and I'm- this reason the Bench dealt lightly with the men, imposing minimum fines of £2 on each, of two charges of use of the unlawful devices to take trout and the taking or killing trout less than nine inches.
