The New Zealapdcr, Platts-Mills, suffered a recurrence of muscular trouble, necessitating his retirement from the Oxford crew, nine days before the Inter-University boat race. Sam Bell Luxton, list 3lbs, won the Forster Fairbairn sculls, beating Mates, Drake and Lee.
