TOSSED BY HIGH SEAS.

THE DISCOVERY IN STORMS. GOOD PROGRESS UNDER SAIL. (United Press Association —Copyright). (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) , SYDNEY, This Day. A message from Sir Douglas MaAVson’s Antarctic ship Discovery states that the A'essel is making splendid progress under sail, 182 miles being covered in a noon-to-noon run, considerably more than the steaming capacity. The first few days of March were an anxious period. There were violent, protracted storms, the Avind ranged from 55 to 70 miles an hour, and immense seas worked up. The Discovery plunged alarmingly. All on board are well. Sir Douglas MaAvson expects to reach Hobart on Saturday, March 21.
