A parade of 500 representatives or the Labour movement left the Trades Hall to-dav for Parliament House to interview the Prime .Minister on the subject of the reduction of wages. Over 2000 gathered to hear the deputation plage their views to Mr Forbes, •who met t-be deputation on the steps. The deputation carried banners protesting against the Government’s wages policy. The views of Labour were expressed by Messrs Cook and Roberts (president and secretary respectively of the Alliance of Labour),Bloodwortli and Afc.Laghlan. ' Mr Forbes was the subject of much ,;heckling when replying. - The gathering dispersed quietly.
