THE NEW ZEALAND BRANCH. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, March 11. In place of the conference which was to have been bold this year at Gisborne, the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association held its annual meeting in Wellington to-dav. Twenty-eight delegates and Dr. AI. H. Watt (Director-General cf Health) were present. • . A resolution was- carried unanimously congratulating Dr A\ att on his appointment, and assuring him of the loyal support of the profession in all matters relating to the public health. The President-elect of the N’ew Zealand Branch (Dr. J. W. Williams), of Gisborne, was inducted by the retiring president (Dr. T. Mill). Officers were elected as follows: Chairman of the Council. Dr. I). E. Fenwick ; honorary general secretary, Dr. F. V. Anson; members of the Council; Sir H. Undo Ferguson, l)r. W. H. Parkes, and Sir Donald McGavin j members of the Executive Committee; Sir Donald McGavin, Dr. H. E. Gibbs, and Dr. W'. Irving. The following members are to represent the New Zealand branch at the British Medical Association Conference to be held in England in July:—Drs. T. Mill, J. A. Doctor, AY. H. Parkes, and F. A r . Bevan-Brown Next year’s conference ivill be held at Auckland in February. Dr. C. G. Aicken is President-elect.
