MISS JOHNSON
THE JOURNEY TO SYDNEY. TO FLY AS A PASSENGER. RESULT OF MEDICAL ADVICE. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Acting on medical advice, Miss Amy Johnson will fly to Sydney from Brisbane in a National Airways ’plane, piloted by Flight-Lieutenant C. T. PUlm. The journey will be a non-stop one. Miss Johnson will arrive on Wednesday, and while in Sydney will stay at Government House as the guest of the Governor, Sir Philip Game. Miss Johnson’s ’plane, Jason’s Quest, is being repaired, and if it is finished in time, Oaptajn Brain will fly it to Sydney on the same day as Miss Johnson goes there. CONGRATULATIONS ON SUCCESS., MESSAGES FROM NEW ZEALAND. June 1. A large number of cablegrams warmly congratulating Miss Amy Johnson have been received from New Zealand women’s organisations and one from the Mayoress of Wellington is included. These will await Miss Johnson’s arrival at Sydney.
