GIGANTIC LANDSLIDE
GREAT WAVES IN FIORD.
DAMAGE CAUSED TO QUAYS. TWO FISHERMEN DROWNED. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, May 2.. A gigantic landslide took place in Trondhjem Fiord, hundreds of acres of hillside crashing into the sea, forcing 309 workmen, who were excavating the foundations of a factory, to run for their lives. The slip created two enormous waves which damaged two quays and destroyed a number of small craft and drowned two fishermen. Several shoals of herring were left high and dry when the water receded.
