ROAD BOARDS.
NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES. NO ELECTIONS ARE NECESSARY. Nominations of candidates on the I.ongbeach. Upper Ashburton, South Pakaia and Coldstream Road Boards have been announced. In each case the number of candidates does not exceed the vacancies, and there will be no elections in these districts. The nominations are as follow: — Longbeach—Messrs L. Maginness, W. J. Anderson and J. P. McQuilkin. Upper Ashburton—Messrs S. H. LiH, A. Horsey and H. Morris. South Rakdia —Messrs A. Doig and W. AY. Carruthers. Coldstream—Messrs G. Tait, J. C. Guinness and W. M. Bruce.
