ALLEGATIONS DENIED.
FARMERS AND POLITICS.^ HAMILTON. April 11. Allegations that a deliberate attempt has been made to weaken the Countrv Party at a recent meeting off the Dominion Executive of the Farmers’ Union in Wellington were made by Air AY. Boyd, of Matangi, at an executive meeting of the AVaikato Sub-Provincial Branch of the Union to-dav.
Air Boyd strongly attacked Air AY. J. Poison, Dominion president, and Mr T. H. Henderson, president of the AVaikato Branch/ who he said had connived for the purpose of embarrassing the Country Political League. The charges were strenuously denied bv Air Henderson, who. said he had always resisted efforts to involve the Farmers’ Union in the political movement.
