EMPIRE TRADE.
PERMANENT ECONOMIC COUNCIL PROPOSAL BY CANADIANS. TORONTO, April 11. The appointment of a Commission of business men l from various units of the Empire to inquire into Empire resources and markets, and also the factors entering into the .promotion or hindrance of Empire trade, to be maintained as a -permanent Economic Council of the Empire, lias been recommended by the Empire Trade Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. The proposal will be presented to the Federated Chambers of Commerce conference in London in May.
