RUGBY FOOTBALL.
REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURES. HEAVY SEASON ALREADY. A heavy season as far as representative Rugby matches are concerned will be experienced for over four months during this winter. About 90 matches have been arranged, and the fixtures were approved bv the New Zealand Rugby Union yesterday. Alatches of direct interest to the County are those between the Ashburton team and South Canterbury, North Otago, Canterbury B. and B uller. The principal fixtures are as follow: June 28 —Hawke’s Bay v. Wairarapa, at Wairarapa. July 23 —Wanganui v. South Canterbury, at Timaru. July 26 —Wanganui v. Southland, at Invercargill. August 2—South Canterbury y. Southland, at Invercargill. August 6 —Otago v. Southland, at Invercargill; Wanganui v. Canterbury, at Christchurch. August 9 —Hawke’s Bay v. Canterbury, at Christchurch; Taranaki y. Auckland, at Auckland. August 13 —Hawke’s Bay v. Otago, at Dunedin. August 16 —South Canterbury v. Ashburton, at Ashburton; Hawke’s Bay v. Southland, at Invercargill; Manawhenua v. Wairarapa, at Wai-

The New Zealand 1 Rugby Union has decided to amend admission charges in connection with the British team’s tour as follows:—Provincial matches, admission to ground 2s, school children Is, grandstand 7s 6d; Tests, admission to ground 2s 6d, including tax, children Is, grandstand 10s, with a limited number of seats at £l.
