DECREASED TRADE.
BRITISH FIGURES FOR MARCH. IMPORTS DECLINE MOST. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 11. The Board of Trade returns for March show that imports decreased, by £5,153,000, exports by £4,677,000, and re-exports by £2,326,000. The principal decreases were: —Imports —Food, grain and flour £761,000; foodi and drink, non-dutiable £2,367,000, dutiable £723,000; raw cotton, £3,911,000; oil seeds, _ £1,045,000. Exports—Raw wool, £419,000 cotton, yarns and manufactures, £2,o80,000; woollen' yarns and manufactures, £896,000. __ . Increases include: Imports —Meat, £1,668,000; wood and timber, £464,000; iron, steel and manufactures, £615,000.
