Their Excellencies, Lord and Lady Bledisloe, who paid their official visit to Dunedin on Thursday and yesterday, passed through Ashburton this afternoon on their way back to Wellington.
Sir Thomas K. Sidey (AttorneyGeneral) was a passenger for the south by the express train this morning.
Commissioner J. Cunningham, of the Salvation Army, passed through Ashburton by the express train this morning. He was met at the station by the Mayor (Air R. Galbraith) and Adjutant A.. Hildreth.
Admiral Byrd syid his party have left for Rotorua, where they will he the guests of the Government during their stay. They will wait the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward), says a Wellington Press Association message.
