NO CIVIC RECEPTION.
PIPER AND KAY AT ( AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Auril 10. 'So far no civic reception has been arranged in Auckland for FlyingOfficers Piper and Kay, who are due here from Sydney on Tuesday. They are the first New Zealand-born airmen to- fly from England to Australia. The Mayor was approached bo a deputation from Mangere, Kay’s borne district but Mr Baaldon refused the request for a civic reception. “This is becoming now an everyday occurrensee and I really donft see tile necessity for it,” he said.
