DENTISTS’ INCOME.
AN ACCOUNTANT’S EVIDENCE. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 10. The average yearly gross income of ten dental firms in Auckland was stated in a recent Supreme Court action as approximately £1365. The witness, a public accountant, said that the figure was the average for one firm over a period of six years and might be taken as a reasonably representative one for nine other firms whose accounts he had audited. The sum of £875 was expended yearly on wages, rent, instruments and supplies and overhead charges leaving just on £4OO as the nett income. During a six-year period the nett income had shown a tendency to decrease.
