LICENSE QUASHED

KAMO SPRINGS HOTEL. NOT RENEWED SINCE 1917. DECISION IN SUPREME COURT, (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. In the Supreme Court to-day Mr Justice Herdman delivered his decision that the Marsden Licensing Committee had no jurisdiction to issue a publican's license for the Kamo Springs Hotel. He declared that the license was not renewed: in 1917, and when t ranted in June, 1929. it had been ead for 12 years. Dealing with the argument that the law permits resurrection of a license, the Judgejifrid that proceedings might be taken at the first annual meeting after forfeiture or non-renewal, but in this case that time had long since expired. His 'Honor therefore granted application by two electors of Marsden for a writ of certiorari to quash the committee's certificate.
