FREETRADE CAMPAIGN

Air Philip Snowden (Chancellor of the Exchequer) and Mr Lloyd George (Leader of the Liberal Party) were anion"; the guests of Mrs Snowden's second Free Trade luncheon at Downing Street. According to "The Times," plans have been drawn up for a Free Trade campaign throughout the country. It has been arranged to hold a conference after Easter of business men, representatives of trade unions, co-operators, and economists for the purpose of stating the case for Freo Trade under modern conditions. This will he followed by public demonstrations in the leading centres. It is suggested that Mr Snowdeni and Mr Lloyd George may be seen on the same platform at Albert Hall. Arrangements are being made to open a fund.
